As each note pours through me,
each sound, resonating differently
draws me closer
As if they're riding along with the wind
Lifting my hair up to touch my face
Composing the music which surrounds me
Leading me to
the places I've been searching for
for so long
The music between souls
This sacred connection
It forever draws me near
To happiness
There's so much more to this
And the flow of the words,
the strings,
leads me to believe
I can see the beauty in everything
Even once my eyes are closed
The sounds remind me
That I'm surrounded
Wrapped up tight within this life

Strange tidings on this slow Thursday morning. But you've put your finger on something here that we all know, or at least suspect, in some dark and nearly forgotten corner of our souls.
Sometimes we see with the most clarity when we close our eyes and when we recall that the Universe sings its immortal and slow-groaning song with One Voice.
It's hard at times to just listen.

This reminds me of "Adagio for Strings" by Samuel Barber.

By the way...I'm very fond of your new profile picture. It would certainly make a nice addition to the "Rookies" section.
Send me a copy, won't you?
